I have never seen the point of exfoliating your lips not until I started wearing make up. All I know was to moisturize your lips with a lip balm and you can live with a smooth lips. Period. But then again, I was wrong. Ever since I started to exfoliate my lips then cap it off with a lip balm, I noticed that my lipstick application becomes smoother and easier even with matte lipsticks. Exfoliating your lips will remove dead skin from the lip's surface and will reveal a much softer lips. However, do not go obessesing on scrubbing your lips every single day. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips 3-4times a week. There are a lot of ways to exfoliate your lips. You can use a soft tootbrush and rub it on your lips. There are homemade stuff that you can mix up to create your own. Or there are ready-made lip scrubs out in the market. And that's the choice I made for myself because it's faster and convenient for me. Here's my thoughts on this product.
According to LUSH:
"The bubblegum-candy srub"
This one will make your lips smell like our best-selling Snow Fairy shower gel. Bubblegum is made with exfoliating castor sugar and our delicious vegan flavour to gently scrub away rough skin, keeping your lips smooth and kissably soft with the help of jojoba oil.
My thoughts:
Pros:
- It does it's job by revealing smoother lips
- Tastes good
- Smells good
- Not too pricey for P495 for 25g of product
Cons:
- The glass packaging makes it heavy
- It can be messy because of it's dry consistency (you may opt to use a scooper)
Overall Thoughts:
I think this is an amazing product because it does it's job by removing dead skins on the lips and reveal smoother lips. The consistency is like a dry sugar so be prepared for some fallout. My other lip scrub is a bit creamy in consistency so this ones really different for me. It tastes so good like I'm always tempted to dip my finger and eat it. lol. I will definitely repurchase this. ^_^
