Review and FOTD: Stila Pretty in Paris Palette

This is the second travel palette from Stila. If you missed my review on the first travel palette, just click here. Most of the things that I will tell you about this second palette is almost the same as the first palette. All of the eyeshadows and convertible lip and cheek color are all new and limited edition according to Stila.

This palette includes:
Four eye shadows:
- Crepe (pale pink)
- Cherie (reddish brown)
- Jolie (brownish pink)
- Chocolat (brown)

Convertible Color:
- Rosebud  (rosy cream color)

The GOOD:
  • packaging is made of hard cardboard paper which will not easily bend or break when you bring it for travel. It was created mainly for that purpose. (duh, travel palettes as Stila calls it) lol.
  • the print and design is cute and stylish.
  • it has a mirror big enough to see your face when you put on makeup.
  • Rosebud convertible lip and cheek color is creamy and blends easily.
  • It does not feel sticky on the cheeks and lips.
  • Highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. I use my Sigma F50 stippling brush to have more control on the application on the cheeks. I use my Sigma E05 eyeliner brush to apply it on the lips.
  • The staying power is good on the cheeks.
  • Surprisingly all four eyeshadows work well together unlike the first palette
  • Crepe, cherie, and jolie are all shimmery shadows and chocolat is a matte eyeshadow unlike the first palette, all four shadows are shimmery.
The BAD:
  • the eyeshadows are kinda hard unlike the original Stila eyeshadows which is buttery and easy to blend.
  • since this is a palette and the convertible blush is cream, it can easily pick up pigments from the eyeshadows if you are not careful.
Rosebud on the cheeks
Crepe all-over the lid up to browbone, Cherie on the crease, Jolie on the outer V and Chocolat  (wet) as eyeliner and lower lashline.

Overall Thoughts:
I am impressed with the second travel palette because the colors are well put together. This is a perfect palette for fall because the colors are warm.. A no-brainer combo if you're on the go but still want to look gorgeous. I think this is a must-have considering it's only P595 and you get all limited edition colors and add the cute packaging to that. You can visit Rustan's to try and test this palette and I'm sure you'll fall in love with it as well as I did. Thanks!
